The state pressed charges over the weekend in the beating death of Clifford Schanrock in Mountain Village. Anthony J Beans has charged with second degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Clifford Schanrock.
According to documents filed in St. Marys court, Beans was highly intoxicated in Shanrock’s residence early the morning last Wednesday when he knocked over a honeybucket and fell down.
That sparked a fight between the two men, which took place on the floor messy with human waste. Witnesses say Beans repeated punched Schanrock, who ultimately lost consciousness in the fight that witnesses said lasted less than five minutes. Medical personnel were unable to revive the man and he was pronounced dead. Beans was arrested Friday and transported to a facility in St. Mary’s.
