Airport safety project casualty of partisan gridlock

The Bethel Airport is in need of improved runway and approach lights but the partial shutdown of the FAA is threatening to delay the project past this construction season. Alaska’s Democratic Senator Mark Begich says it’s another case of a Republican leader taking a ‘my way or the highway’ approach.
