After a month long investigation, law enforcement officers in Bethel report that they busted a resident for alleged bootlegging. On Thursday, August 23, the Western Alaska Alcohol and Narcotics Team (WAANT) arrested 46-year old Dominic Charles of Bethel.

During the month long investigation, WAANT investigators purchased alcohol from Charles at a home on Schwalbe Street more than once. Officers got a search warrant and searched the home, turning up seven bottles of alcohol and some cash. Charles was arrested on the charges of violating conditions of his parole. He had a previous Felony Assault conviction.

WAANT says Charles will be charged with three counts of Sale of Alcoholic Beverages without a permit.
