Armory Gym: community treasure or asbestos-plagued money pit?

Now that the Alaska Army National Guard has a new readiness center in Bethel, they want to give their downtown armory to the city for free, asbestos and all. Mayor Joseph Klejka says the city council will need to consider the financial impact of adding an old building to the city’s already strapped budget. Gym supporters say it’s too valuable to pass up.
