Local shows on KYUK

by Kristy Newell on August 18, 2011

Sure you’re familiar with the Birthday Line Call-In Show, but have you ever tuned in for Peacetalk on the last Wednesday of the month?

Did you know that Jean Brinich hosts a Classical music show every other Sunday from 5-8pm? You can pick up local gardening tips this summer on Thursday mornings at 8:45am or learn about community happenings on Yuk-to-Yuk or Talkline.

There are several other locally-produced music shows as well, hosted by the likes of Peter Twitchell, Rybo Shore, Andrew Simmons and Outback Garry.

For a listing of all of KYUK’s local shows, from music shows to weekly and monthly public affairs shows, click here.

If you’re interested in hosting your own show, contact Kristy at KYUK at 543-0228 or email: kristy@kyuk.org.
