The day after Christmas has proven to be a slow day for call-in shows on KYUK, and today was no different as calls and emails were sparse to start the show. As the program moved forward calls and emails started to come in at a more normal clip.

Highlights for this edition of Talk Line include: The Kuskokwim 300 Race Manager, Zach Fansler, fields questions from the hosts; travel tips and cautions were received from S.A.R. members; and a heavy focus was put on politics and policies.

Less than a week away from Christmas people took time out of their busy holiday schedules to participate in KYUK’s weekly caller-driven show.

Tribal sovereignty and a tribal member’s ability to sell Calista shares came up early in the program. A thoughtful email discussed the future of the pool in Bethel, and recent search and rescue efforts were also discussed. A caller shares an interesting idea on how the city could cultivate and sell marijuana to fund multiple municipal efforts.
Call in, or just tune in, to Talk Line live every Friday morning starting at 10AM on KYUK 640 AM.
