Bethel City Council Selects Three Top Candidates for City Manager

Two nights of interviews via Skype and telephone reduced the top seven to three .They will speak with the council again next week in a second round phone interviews.

The City Attorney will be calling references and running background checks on candidates identified as number 1, 2, and 13. There is one alternate.

The council hopes to bring a few of the top candidates up to visit Bethel soon.The clock is ticking if the new manager is to overlap with Interim City Manager Greg Moyer’s time in Bethel. His contract runs though September 22nd.

The Council also worked through a draft contract for the future manager. The salary is negotiable, but the advertised range was 90 to 120 thousand dollars.

The council terminated Manager Lee Foley in May. Port Director Pete Williams filled in until the interim Greg Moyer began his three month contract.
