Bethel Lady Warriors have a tough go on the road

by Shore on January 25, 2014

The BRHS girls varsity basketball squad concluded their two-game stint in Nome with a couple of tough losses.
On Friday night the Lady Warriors lost by just one point to the home-standing Lady Nanooks of Nome 36 to 35. Bethel’s Kayla Williams led all scorers with 13 points.

On Saturday night Bethel had their eyes set on a revenge win; however, inconsistency plagued the Lady Warriors in the second and fourth quarters, and they would again lose in a close fashion- 39 to 32.
Bethel was led in scoring by Rebecca Brink, who fouled-out early in the fourth quarter after a 9-point effort.
The Ahmasuk sisters of Nome, Addy and Senora, led all scorers with 15 points each.

The Lady Warriors next game comes in the opening-round of the Donlin Gold Tournament, to be played in Bethel starting on Thursday, January 30th.
