Bethel man faces burglary charge

A man is facing a felony burglary charge for allegedly taking property from the Catholic church in Bethel. Police received a call Sunday evening from a man who lives at the church who had seen a man identified as 41-year-old Paul Patrick inside of the church dining hall. Patrick was wearing all black and fled on foot.

The man called 911 and followed Patrick. During the foot pursuit, Patrick allegedly threw a box of pilot bread at the man. Police arrived and arrested Patrick, who was found to have several items of church property in his possession.

Patrick is facing a class b felony for burglary and a misdemeanor for theft under 50 dollars.
