The City of Bethel is bringing back the trails committee to work on the community’s system of trails for walkers, bikers, ATV drivers and snowmachiners.

A meeting Wednesday night will include discussion of how to separate trails for pedestrian and motorized transportation. They will look at plans for improving current trails and sort through a large set of recommendations in the Bethel Comprehensive plan.

The City Council earlier this year identified $60,000 in tobacco tax money intended for trails that had not been spent.

The committee is looking for input and participation from the community. The meeting will be 6 p.m. Wednesday July 2nd at City Hall.
