The Bethel Warriors took the win over Bristol Bay for the championship game of the Donlin Gold Classic on Saturday night with a final score of 62-53. By the end of the first quarter the Warriors trailed by just two points and by the half they had turned the tables and led the game by two points, ending the first half of play with a score of 33-31. A little foul trouble by Bristol Bay helped the Warriors secure the win. Taking home the title of high scorer for the night as well as MVP was Ito Naneng with 20 points. Cory Lepore also had an impressive evening with 17 points and free-throw champion Taylor Hoffman scored 9 points.

The Bethel Lady Warriors also came out victoriously against their 1A opponents, the Newhalen Lady Malamutes with a final score of 54-40 in their final game of the Donlin Gold Basketball Tournament at the Warrior Dome.
