BRHS Passport Club showing Life of Pi

A group of Bethel high school students are planning an educational trip abroad this summer. To help with the costs, the B-R-H-S Passport Club is planning on showing the new Hollywood blockbuster movie, LIFE of PI. The movie will be shown at four different times on Saturday, here in Bethel.

cut 1 “ wanted everyone to know that the Bethel Regional High School Passport club will be showing the LIFE of PI as a fundraiser this Saturday, the first one is at 11, 2:15, 5:30, and 8:45

That was Jazzmin LaValle, sponsor for the BRHS Passport Club.

The movie, LIFE of PI, is about a 16 year-old Indian boy, as in from the country of India, whose passage to a new life in America aboard a freighter ends in a shipwreck. The boy is left to fend for himself on a life raft with an orangutan, hyena and Bengal tiger. Ambi tiger growl….. Director Ang Lee recently received an Oscar for Best Director for the film.

The B-R-H-S Passport Club plan to cross the Atlantic in May and return in June. The students will experience the history, art and cultures of Europe by traveling to France, Germany and the Alps.

The Passport Club is asking a five dollar donation at the door, popcorn and other concessions will be available for purchase. Sophie Evan KYUK news.
