Alcohol and drug use once again captivate the thoughts and opinions of callers and emails. The upcoming Kuskokwim River “Break Up Bash” is mentioned, and the hosts share their opinions on the new tripod design.

Talk Line airs live every Friday morning starting at 10AM, and the Talk Line Replay starts at 7pm on Friday evening- both air on KYUK 640 AM.

Several callers & emails on this edition of KYUK’s Talk Line shared their thoughts on what an alcohol store could potentially do- positive and negative- for the future of Bethel and the surrounding villages. Read more →

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will host a community meeting in Bethel Monday, August 6, about proposed alcohol sales. KYUK 640 AM and kyuk.org will air the event live starting at 5:30 P.M.

Director Cynthia Franklin will present on how the license process works, what laws the board follows, and how it takes community input. No board members will be present.
