Community wants to keep armory open

The old National Guard armory in Bethel has been used as a school and community gym for decades. That is until the National Guard locked the doors. At Wednesday’s special meeting, the Bethel City Council and the Lower Kuskokwim School District elected to work together to try to keep the gym open until an agreement can be made with the National Guard.
