Era flights temporarily canceled between Bethel and Anchorage

Era Aviation has been cancelling flights because they have to replace flight recorder equipment. Flights between Bethel and Anchorage were canceled Saturday, Sunday, and Monday but no flights between villages have been affected.

Era announced Monday that they have resumed limited service in some markets after their fleet was grounded due to aircraft equipment upgrades and the impact of the Southcentral area storm.

Steve Smith, Director of Sales and Marketing, says they hope to have services to Bethel back up and running Tuesday.

“We offer our deepest apologies for any inconvenience this is causing our customers,” Smith said. “All of our customer service agents and reservations agents are standing by and ready to assist in any manner possible to accommodate our passengers on other carriers or later Era Alaska flights and to make the unexpected delays as comfortable as possible.”

Hageland Air is not affected.
