Hunters will have two more weeks to take a moose on federal land. The Federal Subsistence Board has voted to reopen the federal moose hunts in both the unit 18 remainder and the lower Yukon on March 11th.
On federal land in remainder 18, hunters can take any one moose, a cow, calf or bull in the reopening, if they have not taken a moose previously.
On federal land in the lower Yukon, hunters can take two moose, a cow, calf or bull if they have not take any previously, or one moose if they have already taken one.
The moose hunts for the unit 18 remainder and the lower Yukon reopen this Sunday, March 11th and stay open until Sunday, March 25th.
