Testimony: Hout confessed murder to friends

The murder trial has begun for Jeffrey Hout of Bethel and Harry Williams of Kwethluk in the torture killing of 19-year-old Benjamin Kaiser of Hooper Bay.

In opening arguments on Wednesday, one of the prosecuting attorneys showed the jury evidence they were going to bring into the case: an electrical wire, angle irons, a table saw, and a hand sander. They said these were all used to torture Kaiser of to death and they gave a preview of how it happened.

During testimony friends of Hout testified that he confessed to hurting and killing Kaiser.
