A house fire broke out in the early morning hours March 4 on 2nd Road Housing. No one was hurt. The call came into the Bethel Fire Department at 5:43 a.m. Volunteer Bethel Fire Fighters responded to 114 B Atsaq Street.

Darren Solesbee, Bethel Firefighter and EMT, says 9 firefighters arrived and saw smoke and flames coming from the building. He says they were able to knock the fire down quickly.

According to Solesbee, no one was in the house at the time and there were no injuries to firefighters.

The fire department would not say what damages there were to the building or what could have caused the fire.

They say they are continuing to investigate.
