Kuskokwim breakup near Tuluksak

Recent warm temperatures reaching into the 70s has progressed the Kuskokwim River breakup. The river is mostly ice free all the way down to Tuluksak, located about 50 miles upriver of Bethel. I spoke with Celine Van Breukelen, Hydrologist with the National Weather Service and the River Watch team, for this update.
