A Kwethluk teacher is joining the Alaska Humanities Forum board of directors. Pauline Morris of Kwethluk was welcomed to the board in a meeting this month in Anchorage. Morris is a secondary teacher at Ket’acik Aap’alluk Memorial School.

There are 20 total board members on the Alaska Humanities Forum’s board of directors.

CEO, Nina Kemmpel, says they are delighted to have Morris as a new member.

The Alaska Humanities Forum seeks to engage Alaskans in humanities-based grant projects and programs such as Take Wing Alaska, Sister School Exchange and Leadership Anchorage.

The Forum was founded in 1972 by the National Endowment for the Humanities. It is one of several groups that distribute NEH grant funds for humanities projects at the state level.
