The Permanent Fund dividend amount was announced on Tuesday September 20th. This year every eligible Alaskan will receive $1,174.00 as our share of Alaska’s oil wealth. There will probably be as many plans to use the dividend as there are Alaskans receiving the dividend.
As a whole, Alaskans are particularly generous and willing to support causes and institutions they believe are working for the benefit of everyone. One new way for all of us to make a contribution to our favorite charities is through the Pick, Click, Give program. Every PFD applicant has the opportunity to designate a portion of their permanent fund dividend to a specific charity through Pick, Click, Give.
KYUK is now on the Pick, Click, Give list of charities and non-profits eligible for support by Alaskans. I hope you will consider making a contribution to KYUK through the Pick, Click, Give program to support our efforts to provide public media services to the people of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
