A local doctor crashed a Piper super cub he was flying and survived. The Alaska State Troopers in Bethel report that on Sunday, November 11th, Doctor Bill Eggiman crashed his super cub a mile and half from the village of Akiachak. Doctor Eggiman was the sole occupant of the airplane. Troopers say Eggiman was brought to the Akiachak clinic in case he needed medical attention and that the super cub he was flying was damaged extensively. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Security Board.
