Lower Kalskag man charged with kidnapping, sexual assault

Dwight Littlefish, age 27, of Lower Kalskag, was arrested for allegedly holding a woman against her will and assaulting her. Alaska State Troopers arrested Littlefish for on 6 counts: Sexual Assault in the 1st degree, Sexual Assault in the 2nd degree, Assault II, Assault III, Assault IV and kidnapping.

Troopers responded to a call on September 13 and their investigation revealed that Littlefish had been drinking with an adult female from Lower Kalskag when the assaults occurred.

According to the Trooper report, when the female attempted to leave the Littlefish residence , Littlefish allegedly prevented her from leaving, and physically assaulted and strangled her. The victim was transported to a hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Troopers did not identify the facility where she received medical treatment.

Dwight Littlefish was arrested Monday and transported to the Aniak Trooper Post and arraigned at the Aniak District Court. Bail for Littlefish was set at $500,000 and a court-approved custodian.
