On August 2, Aniak based Alaska State Troopers received a report that an assault occurred at a cabin site on the Aniak River. An investigation through the Aniak based Village Public Safety Officer, Alaska Wildlife
Troopers and Alaska State Troopers showed that 37-year-old Jeffrey Barrett Allain of Aniak allegedly physically assaulted an adult female at the residence.

Allain was remanded on domestic violence and child endangerment charges.

He was held at the Aniak State Trooper Post pending arraignment. Troopers say alcohol was a contributing factor in incident.
