More breakup holes near Kwethluk, Akiachak

There’s still some ice at birch crossing below Aniak, and a jam near the bluffs below Kalskag, but the major changes in the Kuskokwim River breakup happened further downriver. Water rose Thursday morning at Tuluksak, 50 river miles upstream of Bethel, while new holes appeared near Kwethluk and Akiachak.
