Pete Kaiser, age 25 of Bethel, will have to make up some time in order to make the Iditarod top ten this year. He is currently in 13th place making his way to the White Mountain checkpoint with a team of 9 dogs. With 11 miles to go to the checkpoint, Kaiser is closing the gap to 12th place musher Ken Anderson. All teams must take an 8 hour break in White Mountain. KNOM reporter Laureli Kineen caught up with Kaiser at Unalakleet.
