Unfinished Business

 

A) Introduction of Ordinance 17-46: Amending The Bethel Municipal Code Chapter 4.16.160 Tax Exemptions Rental Units Tax Exemption On Fuel And Electricity.

 

  • Council decided to postpone a vote on the ordinance until the end of January 2018. The Ordinance was introduced by Council Member Naim Shabani and can be found on page 34 of the meeting packet.

 
B) Public Hearing Of Ordinance 17-47: Supporting The Amendment To The Official Map And Land Use Code.

 

  • The ordinance passed with a five to one vote; Council Member Raymond "Thor" Williams in opposition. The ordinance was introduced by City Manager Peter Williams and can be found on page 41 of the meeting packet.

B) Introduction of Budget Ordinance 17-28(d): Ordinance of the Bethel City Council Amending the Adopted Annual FY 2018 Budget.

 

  • Introduced with a six to one vote; Council member Raymond "Thor" Williams in opposition. Ordinance was introduced by City Manager Peter Williams and can be found on page 46 of the meeting packet. Correction: a previous edit said Ordinance 17-28(d) passed, when it was just introduced.

 
C) Resolution 17-20: City Of Bethel Priorities For The FY 2019 State Of Alaska Capital Budget.

D) Resolution 17-21: Authorizing The Administration To Amend The City Of Bethel Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Participation Agreement To Exempt The Position Of The Police Chief From Participation In PERS.
