There will be another fishing opening Monday on the Kuskokwim.

The river will open to gillnets from the mouth of the Kuskokwim to the Holitna River mouth for 12-hours, from noon until midnight.

However, the waters in front of Aniak will remain closed to protect the king salmon running in high numbers through this area.

The water from the Holitna River mouth upstream to the Kuskokwim River headwaters remains open to subsistence fishing with gillnets.

Gillnets for this opening are restricted to six-inch or smaller mesh, no more than 45 meshes in depth and 25 fathoms in length.
