Missing Bethel Man Reported Found

The search for Edward Prunes, age 24, officially began yesterday morning after his mother called the Bethel Police Department.

A man reported missing in Bethel today has just been found, and may not have been lost at all.

The search for Edward Prunes, age 24, officially began Monday morning after his mother called the Bethel Police Department. She hadn't heard from him in two weeks, and his brother, Amos Prunes, hadn’t either.

Around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Amos Prunes announced on Facebook that his brother was safe and sound. That wasn’t enough for the Bethel Police, who continued to search for him. According to Dispatcher Natalie Hayes, officers had been unable to make contact with Edward Prunes and couldn’t call off the search until they did.

Around 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Bethel Search and Rescue’s Mike Riley was able to get in touch with Edward Prunes and confirmed that he was all right.
