The Kuskokwim River Salmon Management Working Group has asked for a grace period on the current ban on 4-inch mesh nets the Kuskokwim.
The working group voted for a 72-hour exemption Thursday during a public teleconference and recommended to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game that the exemption occur this weekend on the Kuskokwim’s main channel.
