by Angela Denning-Barnes on August 28, 2013

Propane was allegedly stolen at the barge landing in Holy Cross on the Yukon River. Alaska State Troopers are investigating the theft. They say that two 100 pound bottles and one 25 pound bottle were stolen sometime around August 6.

The propane was being shipped in on a barge to a resident. In total, it is worth over $1,300.

Troopers in Aniak began an investigation but have no leads or suspects.

They are requesting anyone with information about the fuel to contact them at the Aniak post. Their toll free number is 800-675-4398.
