by Shore on January 10, 2014

Bethel Regional High School’s varsity basketball teams are on a three-day three-game road trip with stops in Houston and Unalaska. Thursday night was the first stop along the way as the Houston Hawks played host to the visiting Warriors.

The night’s action got started with the Lady Warriors who came out hot, outscoring the Hawks 26-8 in the first half. From there it was smooth sailing as every player contributed to the scoring, and the Lady Warriors would cruise to a 55-29 victory. Riana Joseph led the team with 19 points.
The Warriors followed up the Ladies with a win of their own, holding Houston to just four points in the third-quarter while strolling to a 73-42 victory. Bethel was led in scoring by Ito Naneng’s 18-point game.

Both Warrior squads continue to Unalaska for games on Friday and Saturday evening. KYUK will have live coverage on 640AM starting at 6:30pm on both nights.
