With just one day left in the KYUK Village Showdown the contest is still wide open. The village that pledges the most to KYUK will win a hometown broadcast of their high school basketball game. Toksook Bay is still in the lead but pledging from the coastal village has come to a standstill. With just $520 in total pledges from Toksook any village could out pledge them to claim the crown.

KYUK staff will be on-hand until midnight tonight, the final night of the contest, to collect pledges until the last second.

The rules of the KYUK Village Showdown are pretty simple. The village that pledges the most support by the end of the day on Tuesday, October the 15th, wins. That village’s high school basketball team can decide when and where they want KYUK to provide the coverage. It could be a home tournament or even an away tournament so fans back home can catch the action. The game must be in the Y/K Delta. In the event of a tie the number of individuals that pledged from each village will break the tie, with the highest winning.

Anyone who pledges is also entered into KYUK’s grand prize and weekly drawings. Plus they’ll receive KYUK’s incentive gifts depending on the level they contribute.
