A young Kalskag man allegedly beat up another person so severely that the victim had to under medical treatment in Anchorage. Alaska State Troopers in Aniak learned of the assault on November ninth (9th). They say it happened in the village of Lower Kalskag, but they were unable to travel to the village until six days later, due to the weather. Troopers investigated the assault and found that 21-year-old Ethan Kerr had allegedly severely beaten up an acquaintance of his. The victim was brought to the hospital here in Bethel, the next day, for treatment and later sent on to Anchorage for advanced medical treatment. Troopers say Kerr violated conditions of his release from a previous assault charge by contacting and assaulting the victim again. Kerr was arrested and brought to the State jail here in Bethel.
