12.12.13 ONCBethel’s tribe, ONC, wants people to come forth regarding allegations of city police mistreating Native people. In addition, the Association of Village Council Presidents released a letter that they sent to Bethel Mayor, Joe Klejka about the matter.

Bethel’s tribe, the Orutsararmiut Native Council has acquired an order of dip-nets they will be loaning to any community member, free of charge. Wildlife managers are only allowing set nets and recently opened the river to dip-nets for chum and sockeye subsistence fishing to conserve the king salmon run.
