Surveillance video shows a former Bethel city police officer repeatedly slamming a man to the ground in the parking lot of a grocery store during an arrest last summer. The man eventually pleaded guilty to harassing the officer. But with the new evidence, an attorney is trying to bring the case back to court.

There is no legal sale yet, the state still has nine months to come up with those rules. Bethel PoliceBethel police are urging drivers to take extra caution on the glare ice and wet roads. A police car slid and hit an electrical pole at about 3:30 Monday morning near Quivik subdivision. The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries, and were taken to the hospital and released.

Bethel citizens called for action from the City Council regarding allegations of police brutality at their regular meeting Tuesday evening. The city says they are investigating and officials are keeping the details under wrap as they are evidently facing litigation.
