Talk-Line: Listen here to Feb. 1 program

by Shane Iverson on February 1, 2013

It’s not just the regulars on this week’s show. Several new callers are putting their interest at the forefront, like Sophie from Chuathbaluk, who thinks that adults are overselling the benefits of graduating from high school, “I don’t think they’ve ever been told they have to pay to go to college, but many of them never go because there’s a shortage of money.” Meanwhile the successful, two-day search for the missing Charlie teenagers in Bethel has Kevin from Bethel dishing out some survival advice, and he thinks a survival class would be wise, “Knowledge of how to make a snow cave has saved a couple of boys lives.” Another caller encourages residents to sign a petition aimed at removing police staff at the Bethel Police Department.
