Michael Williams Jr. of Akiak moved up this afternoon, checking into Nikolai in 29th place. This morning, he was running in 41st place.

His father, Mike Williams Sr. of Akiak was running in 39th place this afternoon.

And Richie Diehl of Aniak moved up today. He was running in 46th place this afternoon, up from his 65th place start.

Sixty-five teams started the race Sunday.
