Alaska State Troopers have identified the woman found dead Monday in Quinhagak. They identified her as 25-year-old Lisa Johnson, of Quinhagak. Her body will be sent to Anchorage for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Troopers are working with a crime scene investigator and personnel with the Alaska Bureau of Investigation.
Troopers wrote Tuesday evening that the ABI investigators will stay in Quinhagak to advance the investigation. Johnson’s body was located off a trail near the end of the new runway in the village The body was reported to the troopers at 2:45 p.m. Monday.
