This morning at 10:15, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA and its emergency management affiliates, will conduct a tsunami-warning test. The test will fall on the anniversary of the “Great Alaska Earthquake” of 1964.
The Tsunami-warning test will interrupt programming on local television and radio stations. People in some communities might also hear warning sirens.
The test is part of Governor Sean Parnell’s “Tsunami Preparedness Week” that runs from March, 23rd to the 29th.
