The Bethel Advisory School Board has two seats open for the upcoming October 2nd election.These two seats are currently held by Board members Jerry Domnick and Carol Ann Willard. Both seats are for 3-year terms.
The Bethel Advisory School Board seats are “at-large” seats, meaning that the top two top-vote getters will be seated into the seven-member board.
In order to run for the ASB Board, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have been a Bethel resident for at least 30 days, must not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving alcohol or illegal drugs within the last 5 years, or have a past conviction of child abuse or sexual abuse of a minor.
In addition to the two whose seats are up for election, current Board members include: Allen Joseph, Dan Hartman, Deborah Reichard, Clarence Daniel and Lauri O’Brien.
The Bethel Advisory School Board is responsible for developing the philosophy and educational goals that serve as the general guidelines for the three Bethel LKSD schools.
Anyone interested in running for the Bethel Advisory School Board is asked to contact the principals of the three Bethel schools. The filing deadline is September 17, and again the election will be held on October 2nd.
