Wednesday Evening Slow-Down Show

by Shore on March 18, 2011

The name of the show doesn’t always reflect the music you can hear if you tune in weekly on Wednesdays at 8pm.  Your host, Andrew Simmons, features a mix of music from the past sixty years or so, including anything from early blues to modern rock and alternative-country to independent music.

Some artists he has featured during past shows include Bob Marley, Willie Nelson, Devendra Banhart, the Grateful Dead, Otis Redding, Justin Townes Earle, Neko Case, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Dire Straits to name a few.

Andrew Simmons is the volunteer host of the Wednesday Evening Slow-Down Show on KYUK.

Meet your host, Andrew Simmons

Andrew was born and raised just outside of Rochester, New York, though he has lived in Bethel for three years. He takes great honor in being an uncle and  prefers to spend time out on the river during the warmer months in Bethel.

Known locally as “Spoonman,” Andrew enjoys all things musical and appreciates the opportunity to share his music collection with the YK Delta on his show.

Hopefully you’re able to slow-down, relax and enjoy the Wednesday Evening Slow-Down Show every Wednesday evenings at 8pm on KYUK 640 AM.
