A Bethel winter tradition provides a place to get out of the cold. Friday, December 1, the Bethel Winter House opens its doors for the season. This year, the homeless shelter is located at the Bethel Evangelical Covenant Church.
Starting at 9 p.m. every night, the organization provides a hot meal and a warm, safe place to sleep from December through March. Its mission is to prevent deaths from exposure during the coldest part of the year.
The shelter is signing up community members to cook meals for the season. To pick a day and add your name to the list, visit this link.
